What happens after the pilot?
Your pilot access is free until we launch. About a month before it ends we'll email you, and you can move to Home at £9.99 a month or simply stop. We will never take a payment without asking you first.
What does fair use mean?
Ten lessons per child per day. That is far more than any child should reasonably do in a day, and it exists to stop automated abuse rather than to ration learning. A lesson already in progress is never cut off.
How do I cancel?
One click in Settings. No phone call, no form to fill in, no screen asking whether you are sure. You can export every lesson as a file first, at any time.
Is my child's data used to train AI?
Never. Lessons are stored so that you and your child can look back at them, and for nothing else at all. We do not sell data and we do not train models on it. You can export or delete everything at any time.
What exactly do you store?
The topic, what Chalk said, what your child answered, the sources used, and the time and date. No microphone recordings are kept. Speech is turned into text and the audio is discarded.
What happens if my child says something worrying?
The lesson stops immediately and cannot be restarted from that screen. Your child sees a calm page with the Childline number and a prompt to talk to a trusted adult, and the lesson is flagged in Past Lessons.
Does it work if my child can't or won't speak?
Yes. Every part of a lesson can be typed instead. Typing is always available beside the microphone.
Do you need my card for the pilot?
No. There is nothing to enter and nothing stored.
